We sat down with Damien Scannell to discuss his life thus far. Growing up in Croydon, South London, things were difficult at home. A talented footballer, he became hot property in the non-league game as a teen. Damien talks to us about nearly going down a very negative path. He progressed into professional football at Southend United and Dagenham & Redbridge before falling back into non-league football. He is now a successful personal trainer focused on helping a community of fathers maintain their health & fitness.
